Create and Research a Family Tree.

I've never been more interested in my past. More so than ever before because not only do I not know any history beyond my grandparents, I have come to a pretty solid conclusion that I will not be procreating. This decision comes easy but not without its "what ifs?"... on my Mother's side I know only my Grandmother and know that her parents died when she was very young. On my Father's side (who I don't know very well) I only knew of a Grandfather that died when I was about 10. 

Recently I've gotten in touch with an Uncle on my Father's side and asked his to get any information he could. He came back with surprisingly a ton of information. I have both of his parents immediate family history and he also found out that his grandparents came over from Finland with a different last name. Unfortunately, I can't remember it and he was unsure how to spell it but I'm going to research this for sure!

My Mom's side may be more difficult due to the fact that my Grandmother's parent's died so young and her husband left her at a relatively young age as well, but my finger's are crossed. I suspect that my Aunt will have the most information regarding my Grandfather's side. I'm not sure of the depth of research I will be able to complete - but I do hope to go as far as finding out when and where all four parts of my family came from.
